I create art through photography to relive moments. There are times in my life where I witness a point in time that needs to be captured because I know it won’t happen again. My photos aren’t meticulously planned or endlessly thought out in advance; instead, they’re a spontaneous reaction to what I’m seeing and feeling. My photos are windows into the moments I’ve witnessed. I want my viewers to be able to step through my photos and illustrations like a portal into another world.

I love working with natural light and the great outdoors to make compositions full of color, scents, tastes, sounds, and life. I prefer to work with natural light because I find it to be fascinating how different times of day and different angles of the sun can completely change a photo and the feelings behind it. The way that sunlight hits a building or a bowl of oranges or bounces off a lake drives me to create. This exciting chase of perfect moments is what makes me pick my camera up again and again.
